Over the past 35 years, Lee Byung-im (b. 1969) has explored a wide-ranging painterly practice, spanning from Impressionism to abstraction. Moving beyond fixed color systems, she reconstructs the canvas with a unique palette shaped by her own free will. Grounded in the idea that "feeling has no boundaries," she unfolds a new visual world at the threshold of boundaries themselves. Beginning with a single dot, her work realizes an aesthetic of fullness, and through the organic flow from line to plane, she continues to expand the possibilities of form.
